The Dallas Sidekicks professional soccer franchise was founded on January 9, 1984 when Dallas Mavericks owner Don Carter purchased the bankrupt New Jersey Rockets original Major Indoor Soccer League franchise. The Sidekicks went on to have a successful history behind indoor soccer legend Tatu and key players like Mike Powers, David Doyle, Sagu and so many others. The Dallas Sidekicks originally played their home games at Reunion Arena in downtown Dallas, garnering a large following there and attracting a rowdy home crowd. The great fan support the team received during their initial run in Dallas helped fuel the team's success.

THE POSITION: Operations Manager

The Dallas Sidekicks are looking for an Operations Manager! The Operations Manager will develop, plan, and execute game day activities. Major duties will include coordinating and collaborating with Dallas Sidekicks staff, the Allen Event Center operations crew, as well as outside vendors and agencies to execute a well-thought out game day plan. This person will be the ultimate go-to person on game days.

This position requires a well-organized, self-motivated individual with strong attention to detail and exceptional problem solving abilities.


Key Duties & Responsibilities:
• Develop, plan, and execute all aspects of game day operations.
• Communications Champion with internal and external teams.
• Dallas Sidekicks' primary liaison with the Allen Event Center operations crew.
• Coordinate the hiring and training of game-day personnel (all areas).
• Schedule, plan, and oversee execution of non-game day appearances (community & association events).

Game Day Functional Areas
• Game day operations
o Work with agencies and vendors to execute game day operation plans.
• TV broadcast logistics
• On-field promotions logistics
o Recruit, hire, train, and manage promotional teams.
• Purple Chaos
• Ball Kids
o Secure all materials needed to execute planned activities, including transportation to arrive at Allen Event Center.
o Push details to all stakeholders.
o Post schedules and announcements.
• Birthdays and special event logistics
• Allen Event Center operations coordination
o Pre-game activity details.
• Make It Take It tournament, clinics, foundation events
o Concourse activity, including sponsor activations.
o Food, beverage, and catering needs.
