Software Engineer: Full-Time/In Office (Near Round Rock)

We are seeking a full time in office software engineer with a background in data processing and some web platform development. We develop software to support operations and sales of a mid-sized business. This includes things like workflow automation, integration between different departments and systems, developing reporting solutions, and more.
Primary responsibilities include developing web-based front ends for managing data and tasks, primarily for use by internal employees, data migration and processing, and some server administration. Our architecture is a mix of Windows and Linux (Ubuntu). Our databases are mostly MSSQL 2008 with a little MySQL. Development work is in Python using Django for our web work.

Candidates should have:
• A strong background in Python or another modern dynamic language- Lua, Javascript, Ruby.
• Some experience using Javascript and JQuery (selectors, events)
• A working understanding of HTML5 and CSS3. Experience with Twitter Bootstrap is a plus.
• Experience using source control tools (Git)
• Experience using relational databases. (You should be able to model a process in tables, and write queries to analyze the results.)
• Practical experience working in a Linux (preferably Debian/Ubuntu) environment on the command line.
• Some experience managing servers. (cron jobs, supervisor/upstart, performance monitoring)
• Have a passion for solving problems in a fast-paced business.
