As a property inspector, you will be assigned orders by us daily, creating an online manifest of all of your outstanding orders. Most jobs are simple drive-bys that require basic information and 4+ photos; however, we do complete Walk-Thru's, interview inspections, Insurance Loss Inspections, and other varieties that may require slightly more work.

The manifest is populated by work given to us by our clients. While every client's form and requirements vary slightly, the information requested is generally the same. Some clients give 10 days for an orders completion, others 24-hours, so it will be up to you to prioritize the inspections and your daily workload. Emails are sent to your personal email whenever a new order is assigned, so if you have a smartphone you can get your newest inspections directly in the field. You will be expected to check your manifest/account multiple times a day.

Reliable, efficient transportation: The job IS driving, sometimes good distances, to complete work. You are expected to cover your area in its entirety, 5-7 days a week (as/if necessary). Fuel-efficient vehicles are very much preferred for your own sake -- we cannot control the cost of gas and do not offer gas compensation (as a contractor you are able to receive compensation from government when filing taxes).

Computer: We use extensive online systems that help us sort and get out inspections to our contractors immediately upon their creation, so a steady internet connection is required. Because our contractor's are not expected to come into the office, we do a lot of work via email, so an active, usable email account is necessary. Basic computer skills are a must. Smartphones are greatly encouraged but not required.

Scanner/Fax Machine: Having a working, clean and usable scanner (preferred) or fax machine is required -- some clients are still paper-based and we need to be able to get work back from you.

Digital Camera: Most inspections require photos, so a digital camera, and the ability to use it, upload and email photos are an absolute must. There is no minimum requirement for cameras but, obviously, the better the quality photo, the better.

GPS: As your job is to travel between locations and find properties, some variety of GPS is required. Multi-stop GPS' are preferred to allow maximized routing. You will need to be able to route up to 50-75 jobs a day efficiently or you will not be successful.
