ABOUT YOU
• You are responsible, smart, organized, creative, detail-oriented, driven and hungry to learn and do.
• You have a college degree and at least 1-2 years work or internship experience in marketing, PR or hospitality. Social media interest/experience also a definite plus.
• You're particularly interested and excited by the fields in which we specialize -- hospitality, food & restaurants, spirits, spa/wellness and design.
• You have a stellar work ethic, a can-do attitude, know how to take initiative and like a challenge.
• You live in LA, have a car, and are available for 15-20 hours/week part-time work in our office in Mid-Wilshire
• You like an entrepreneurial, hands-on environment.
• You are familiar with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
• A creative eye and basic knowledge/interest in graphic design is a strong asset, along with experience in Photoshop or other design programs.
• Position can be a growth opportunity for the right person, so a passion for marketing is as important as your office and organizational skills.

ABOUT THE JOB
The Marketing Assistant will be the hands-on assistant to our founder and his team. Duties include:
• Administrative support for team including travel booking, office organization and systems, light bookkeeping and errands
• Support for branding/marketing efforts including online research, Powerpoint presentations, client activity reports
• Support for PR efforts including media tracking, preparing regular reports on media coverage/activity, and media research
• Support for events including list and RSVP management, assistance with event management and production
• Duties will vary from day to day depending on the week's priorities, so requires an individual who is organized, flexible, able to prioritize, can take initiative and learns quickly
• Hours can be flexible during workweek, totaling 15-20 hours/week to start

ABOUT THE PAY
Position is as an independent contractor, with compensation commensurate with experience.
