Position Description
Chartis has an opportunity for a Global Initiatives - Vice President available to work in our Distribution Division.

Performance objectives in this role are as follows:

-Drive a holistic approach, encompassing insurance, strategic, operational and financial aspects, in developing / implementing global distribution initiatives across Chartis. Position will serve as a link between the key functions within the Global Distribution Operations organization and Chartis Regional Field Offices (e.g., Europe, Far East, etc.)

- Develop, identify and / or implement distribution strategies in collaboration with Global Distribution Operations - Strategic Planning Function and Chartis Regional Field Offices

- Assess customer needs and develop / implement operational redesigns collaboration in conjunction with Global Distribution Operations - Operational Excellence Function and Chartis Regional Field Offices

- Remain current on distribution strategies, trends and customer needs including with respect to Commercial and Consumer insurance businesses and communicate within Chartis

- Serve as a point of contact (liaison) to drive completion of program deliverables and work with the sponsors (of global distribution initiatives) to develop business cases, coordinate approval of funding requests, measure project benefits, maintain individual project plans, etc.

- Provide expertise and advice to the sponsors (of the global distribution initiatives) to ensure global initiatives reflect consistency with the overall distribution strategy and operational redesigns

- Drive solutions and facilitate change management with the sponsors (of the global distribution initiatives) by eliminating obstacles through ongoing effective communication and team building

- Ensure there is effective alignment of resources across all major lines of businesses, functions and geographies supporting the global initiatives
Position Requirements
- At least ten (10) years of experience - preferably insurance / financial services, consulting, strategic planning, accounting and/or audit

- Management Skills

- Strategic orientation, managing vision and purpose for the global initiatives

- Advanced project management, meeting facilitation, written/oral communication and presentation skills

- Ability to build teams and team consensus

- Ability to manage / supervise others

- Knowledge and ability to navigate Chartis and AIG's organizational structure is a plus

- Creative, collaborative style and ability to work across multiple areas of the company / regions / cultures

- International travel required

- Experience managing the activities of multiple projects and project staff

- Experience working in international locations is a plus

- Proficient use of MS Office: Excel, Word and PowerPoint

- Finance, Accounting, modeling (e.g. MBA or CPA) experience would be highly desirable
